Avmark Industries was the company's new equipment division. Independent Bakery Equipment
Co., Inc. became the successor company when the company relocated to Miami, Florida in
1984. To date, Independent carries on the original concept of 1935: total commitment to
the baking industry.

Independent Bakery Equipment's primary source of business is bakery equipment sales,
from the sale of one item to complete bakery installations.
Independent has been retained by bakeries to assist them in purchasing equipment for total
systems and total plants. This is done on a flexible commission basis or on a per-project
basis.
Independent has served as conceptual engineers for new product lines in both existing
facilities and new plant installations. This is done on a per diem basis.
Independent offers plant evaluations and appraisals for bakeries, banks, insurance
companies, estate purposes, mergers and acquisitions. This is done on a predetermined fee
basis.
Independent acts as an equipment broker with its unique concepts of turning surplus
equipment into operating capital. This is done on a sales commission basis.
Independent liquidates bakery systems and entire plants. This is done on a sales
commission basis.
Independent maintains a database for virtually all used bakery equipment and machinery
that is available, and has over one hundred bakery equipment dealers utilizing this very
current information.
